About The Position

We’re seeking a Business Systems and Data Officer to play a key role in supporting the implementation, transition and enhancement of the digital systems that underpin MARP’s operations, compliance obligations and service delivery. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, analytical mindset and collaborative approach in a role that genuinely influences how research systems perform and evolve. Reporting to the MARP Administration Manager, you’ll provide high-level technical, analytical and administrative support during a period of system implementation and transition across critical business systems. You’ll work closely with system users and key stakeholders, to ensure systems are robust, compliant, user-friendly and capable of delivering high-quality data for decision-making. From system configuration and workflow mapping to data analysis, reporting and user support, your work will directly contribute to continuous improvement and operational effectiveness during this transition period.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in business systems or system administration
  • Proven experience analysing business processes, mapping workflows and defining system requirements
  • Advanced skills in digital systems, data management and reporting tools
  • Experience contributing to system implementations or enhancements
  • Confidence applying policies, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • The ability to manage competing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting digital systems within a bioresources or research environment (highly desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Administering, configuring and maintaining business systems during the implementation and transition period to ensure stability, availability and compliance
  • Analysing user needs, mapping workflows and translating requirements into effective system solutions
  • Providing expert guidance, training and frontline support to system users
  • Supporting system enhancement and implementation projects, including testing and change management
  • Monitoring system performance and identifying optimisation opportunities
  • Extracting, analysing and interpreting data for reporting, compliance monitoring and strategic planning
  • Troubleshooting system issues, coordinating and actioning responses
  • Developing and maintaining system documentation, procedures and training materials to support implementation activities and enable a smooth transition period.
