Special Requirements US Citizenship required to obtain DHS Public Trust Active DHS Clearance (preferred) The Gist This long-term project entails multiple teams of multi-disciplinary skills to build new capabilities for the mission. Capabilities include AI to create and deploy digital assistant features within a larger system. Your primary responsibility is to collaborate with the Product Manager and customer stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements. You will document workflows, data flows, personas, journey maps, “day-in-the-life” scenarios, and acceptance criteria, while working closely with stakeholders to validate requirements and support user acceptance testing (UAT). You will support the dynamic, multi-faceted, fast pace of being on a team of teams. Your assignments will range from the full lifecycle of system requirements, to creating and updating Authority to Operate system documentation, to creating training materials and conducting sessions with end users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field; a master’s degree preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree with an additional three (3) or more years of relevant experience may substitute for a master’s degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience as a Business Analyst or Quality Analyst (combined experience).
  • Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices, backlog management, and user story development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and validation activities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with testing and automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience supporting large programs or enterprise systems.
  • Training users on new versions and features of system software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager, stakeholders, and technical teams to capture and document business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain process workflows, data flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Define and document acceptance criteria for features and enhancements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure solutions meet business and mission objectives.
  • Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Facilitate communication between business users and technical staff to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement by clarifying requirements and ensuring alignment with priorities.
  • Build user training and contribute to conducting user training sessions.
  • Collaborate with end users both in-person and remote to convey system features and gather user testing feedback.
  • Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Use collaboration and requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to track and manage artifacts.
  • Support the creation, organization, and coordination of training materials and sessions to ensure successful adoption of new features and systems.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, aligned with workflows, and effectively communicated to end users.
  • Stay current with tools and practices that enhance requirements analysis, testing, and automation.
