About The Position

The Business Systems Analyst is a strategic individual contributor responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational efficiency and platform optimization through automation, integration, and simplification. This role leads complex, cross-platform initiatives, mentors other analysts, and establishes standards and best practices that reduce technical debt and support scalable operations. Serving as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, The Business Systems Analyst provides expertise across core banking systems, digital banking platforms, and related services, account and loan origination, CRM, Service Desk, appointment scheduling, enterprise work management, and email marketing

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions and general operating policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other software.
  • Knowledge of enterprise banking and business platforms, including core banking systems such as Symitar Episys (EASE); digital banking platforms (e.g., Banno); CRM systems; enterprise work management tools; Service Desk platforms; appointment scheduling solutions; email marketing platforms; and other related systems and integrations.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, emerging trends, and industry best practices relevant to financial institutions, including the application of technology to enhance member/customer experience, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
  • Knowledge of financial industry regulatory, compliance, privacy, and data security requirements, including standards related to data protection, user access controls, audit readiness, and secure system configuration within a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of Change Management principles and practices, including their application to system enhancements, technology implementations, and process improvement initiatives to ensure effective adoption and minimal operational disruption.
  • Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and automation concepts, including an understanding of how these components function within a regulated financial services environment to support secure, efficient, and compliant operations.
  • Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding devices.
  • Skilled in translating complex business needs into clear business, functional, and technical requirements, including the development of future‑state process workflows, diagrams, and visual artifacts to support shared understanding among technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled in identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, simplification, system integration, and technical debt reduction to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Skilled in operating, supporting, and optimizing core banking and digital banking platforms, or comparable enterprise systems, to ensure reliable performance and alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Skilled in developing test cases and test scripts, executing testing scenarios, and documenting and validating results to ensure solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards.
  • Skilled in analyzing data and presenting clear insights, recommendations, and solution options, while influencing decisions and outcomes to align with enterprise strategy, regulatory expectations, and organizational goals.
  • Skilled in identifying risks, constraints, and dependencies; prioritizing work; estimating effort; and planning and executing tasks across multiple concurrent initiatives while recommending mitigation strategies to minimize delivery and operational impact.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
  • Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.

  • Ability to travel between Wellby Financial facilities as needed (10% or less).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in business systems analysis, process optimization, or technology-enabled transformation.

  • Provide strategic analysis and solution leadership across enterprise platforms, including, but not limited to, core banking, digital banking platforms, and related services, account and loan originations, CRM, Service Desk, appointment scheduler, enterprise work management, and email marketing.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple systems; define and create future-state workflows and guide solution design to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Drive enterprise automation and integration opportunities; partner with Core, Digital, and Data teams to implement scalable patterns and reduce manual work.
  • Own functional solution design for high-impact changes; ensure solutions align with governance standards, validation standards, security controls, and long-term maintainability.
  • Champion simplification and technical debt reduction by identifying redundant capabilities, rationalizing configurations, and improving integration efficiency.
  • Mentor Level I and Level II analysts; establish and reinforce standards for analysis, documentation, testing, and value realization.
  • Lead stakeholder facilitation, including workshops and decision forums; resolve complex tradeoffs and ensure alignment across business units.
  • Define and track KPIs for initiatives (cycle time, defect rate, adoption, cost savings, risk reduction) and communicate results to leadership.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex production issues, coordinate triage, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes with technology partners.
