As a Business Systems Analyst within PNC's Technology organization, you will be part of the HR Core Apps and Payroll team and will report into a Software Engineering Manager Sr. You can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Strongsville OH, Cleveland OH. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. We’re seeking a Business Systems Analyst to own and evolve Workday integrations and related HR/Payroll/Benefits/Talent applications. This role combines hands-on engineering, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration with vendors and internal technology partners. How This Role Fits In The HR Core Apps, Payroll & Benefits team supports Workday and other vendor applications that underpin our HR, benefits and payroll operations. You’ll be responsible for one or more applications, ensuring integrations are reliable, secure, and compliant, while improving performance and operational resilience. What You’ll Do · Business System Analyst Ownership: Review business requirements, perform fit gap analysis, feasibility assessment, build solution design to deliver effective solution with workday integrations, PeopleSoft CRM, Information ETLs. Perform testing and Co-Ordinate UAT testing with LOB, procure UAT approvals, set milestone & communicate dates to LOB and scrum master in absence QE/PM roles in smaller enhancements & production issues. · Act as Business Systems Analyst: Must demonstrate ownership of requirements gathering, building solution design, testing integration and leading delivery of Workday HR, Payroll and benefits interfaces and ETL processes. · Data Pipelines & Transmissions: Build design to secure file transmissions (SFTP/HTTPS/AS2), data validations, and reconciliation. · Access & Security: Partner with PNC Enterprise security and access management teams to ensure data security and privacy controls are considered as part of solution design and obtain approvals. · SDLC & Agile Delivery: Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban), manage work in Jira, and coordinate incident/change management in ServiceNow. · Technical Leadership: Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, mentor peers, and contribute to engineering standards. · Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with technology teams, vendors, and business partners to prioritize, plan, and deliver integrations and enhancements. Participates in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements . Analyzes, defines and documents clients requirements, and revises existing systems logic challenges, as necessary . Requirements

  • Experience: 5–8+ years (preferred) in Business Systems Analyst with hands-on defining requirement for workday integration & ETLs, building solution design for workday integration & ETLs, obtaining LOB approvals on solution design & test cases, coordinating with developer & quality engineer.
  • Workday: Strong experience with Workday integration design, integration output validations (text files, XML), knowledge workday (hr, payroll, benefits) functionality, workday business objects, workday data sources and workday report writing.
  • ETL & Data: Proficient in SQLs and ETL output data analysis, mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Security & Access: Working knowledge of access management, data security, encryption, and secure file transfers.
  • Process & Tools: Jira, ServiceNow, Agile methodologies; strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Oracle (SQL, performance tuning) for downstream.
  • Experience with vendor HR systems (benefits, payroll, timekeeping) and HR data standards.
