About The Position

The Business Services Recruiting Specialist is an integral part of Latham’s Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for recruiting candidates for Business Services and providing high-touch service to clients and candidates, while demonstrating strong decision-making, communication, and time management skills. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
  • Display the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
  • Possess the ability to review work of others to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • A High school diploma or an equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent, preferably
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant recruitment experience
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience, preferably

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a strategic, commercial business partner for the hiring team by being aware of market developments, challenges, and opportunities, and using this knowledge to help shape go-to-market strategy
  • Managing full-cycle recruiting tasks and procedures for all assigned requisitions
  • Serving as the firm’s external-facing representative to candidates by exercising sound judgment and ensuring an excellent candidate experience while performing duties, delivering exceptional client service to hiring managers through professional email interactions, regular meetings, and phone conversations
  • Exhibiting advanced knowledge of all recruiting-related technologies and recruiting best practices, and staying abreast of job requirements, valid selection methods, and equal employment opportunities to ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws
  • Working with recruiting leadership to identify and implement enhancements to the recruitment process, keeping pace with the dynamic nature of recruitment
  • Engaging in and spearheading projects aimed at increasing the commercial impact of the recruiting team
  • Interviewing and training junior team members
  • Collaborating with other firm departments to develop efficient procedures and communications that streamline processes and meet various departmental needs, including the internal career services team
  • Undertaking special projects within the office or the firm on various topics as required
  • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
