About The Position

The OIPS operations aim to be a world-class packaging solutions distributor and a model for engaging small and emerging customers globally. This Business Manager role is responsible for effectively managing all existing and potential customers within an assigned product category and serving as the primary contact between the Company and its customers in the Pacific Northwest territory. The role involves strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels. The Business Manager will create and execute short and mid-term business strategies and performance according to the account plan, delivering on monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets. They will work with all levels of the organization and be responsible for relationships with global, key account leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales industry or comparable experience.
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong PC skills and ease of working with systems, with an emphasis on CRM platforms and SAP.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, but also work well with the team and other departments.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute the account plan, owning and managing requests for pricing and contracts.
  • Be responsible for contract execution and follow-up on end dates.
  • Monitor the customer's financial situation to safeguard the interests of the company.
  • Adapt the mix of products to the real needs and potential of each market, aiming at the strategic interests of the company and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor the activities of the competition, aiming to provide the company with information.
  • Define and negotiate prices to be practiced for each client and product.
  • Identify opportunities to prospect commercial investments.
  • Identify projects to convert other packaging materials to glass.
  • Maintain the average payment term and default percentage of the segment within the company's goal.
  • Provide input and educate product management, marketing, and manufacturing organization on customer needs and issues.
  • Progressively responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and landing new customers and new business.
  • Do lead adjustments as needed.
  • Start the commercial proposal process and support the negotiation process as needed.
  • Achieve sales volumes (EBIT, Revenue, Physical Volume) committed in the company budget.
  • Analyze and validate sales forecasts.
  • Generate plans to ensure broad penetration into mid-level accounts within assigned territory.
  • Generate, develop, and close sales opportunities with a focus on the most profitable mid-level accounts.
  • Develop presentations to resolve or address customer issues.
