About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Re-engineering Manager to support a Department of State client in documenting, improving, and communicating key budget and financial processes across a major foreign assistance program. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with strong analytical skills, excellent client‑facing communication abilities, and experience working with federal financial or budget operations.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
  • FIVE (5) years experience in process mapping, workflow documentation, or business process reengineering.
  • Knowledge of federal budgeting or financial management processes (Department of State or foreign assistance experience preferred).
  • Strong facilitation and client‑engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with process mapping tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior consulting experience supporting federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with Business Process Re-engineering methodologies or process improvement frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a comprehensive process mapping initiative covering budget formulation, execution, financial analysis, reporting, and related workflows.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to understand current-state operations, identify process owners, and gather detailed business requirements.
  • Develop and refine process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation.
  • Translate complex financial and budget processes into clear, accessible visual documentation for leadership across the Bureau.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and risk reduction, and present recommendations to client leadership.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Support change management and communication efforts related to new or updated processes.
