Position Purpose: The Business Process Improvement Manager will identify and facilitate enterprise-wide process improvement activities utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies to design and improve processes that support business infrastructure and performance across the Medicare line of business. This is an opportunity to build foundational process work and act as a thought partner in shaping how Medicare operates. Note: This is a fully remote role. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of LEAN, Six Sigma or related process improvement experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Previous working knowledge of process mapping and design, statistical applications and project management software.
  • Strong documentation skills (Swimlanes, SIPOCs, RACIs) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and root‑cause analysis skills, with comfort diving into operational details to identify performance gaps and inefficiencies preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • LEAN/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, prioritize, and execute process improvement opportunities utilizing continuous improvement principles and LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitor process improvement projects and coordinate with cross functional partners (Claims, Appeals, Provider Operations, Compliance, Actuary) and process improvement project teams ensuring deadlines and objective are met and return on investment is realized.
  • Mapping and documenting processes end-to-end using standard tools (i.e., flowcharts, SIPOCs, SOPs, RACIs).
  • Provide training to project teams and functional areas to assist with the implementation and maintenance of process improvement activities.
  • Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify resources, mitigate risks, resolve issues and provide key performance indicators and project status.
  • Identify, communicate, and correct gaps in process performance and provide guidance to address these gaps.
