About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Consultant to lead cross-functional workshops and guide enterprise ERP modernization initiatives within an SAP environment. This role will facilitate current-state (“as-is”) business process documentation, define future-state (“to-be”) operating models, and develop modernization blueprints supporting SAP S/4HANA upgrades or transition to alternative ERP platforms. The Consultant will provide strategic leadership, governance guidance, and executive-level recommendations aligned with enterprise objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong SAP expertise, enterprise transformation experience, and proven workshop facilitation capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise ERP systems
  • 5+ years of SAP functional or technical experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading ERP modernization or transformation initiatives
  • Proven experience facilitating cross-functional workshops
  • Strong governance and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
  • SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation experience
  • Experience evaluating alternative ERP platforms
  • Experience in large enterprise or government environments
  • SAP certification (functional or technical)
  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci)

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Governance
  • Conduct project kickoff sessions with executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Establish governance frameworks, communication cadence, and performance KPIs
  • Provide executive-level reporting and strategic guidance
  • Current State (“As-Is”) Process Facilitation
  • Lead structured cross-functional workshops across finance, treasury, budgeting, procurement, HR/payroll, asset management, and related ERP functions
  • Guide documentation of workflows, system integrations, dependencies, and operational challenges
  • Identify system limitations, inefficiencies, and risk areas
  • Oversee development of issue logs and risk summaries
  • Future State & Modernization Strategy
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions to define optimized future-state processes
  • Conduct structured gap analysis between current and desired states
  • Recommend automation, standardization, and process optimization strategies
  • Develop ERP modernization roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives
  • Requirements & Strategic Advisory
  • Provide oversight for functional and technical requirements development
  • Advise on SAP S/4HANA upgrade strategy or alternative ERP transition approaches
  • Identify governance, data migration, reporting, and change management requirements
  • Deliver executive-ready documentation and presentations
