ABOUT THE JOB The Tepa Companies are seeking a Business Process Architect to design, optimize, and govern end-to-end business processes across the organization. This role partners closely with business leaders, IT, and enterprise architecture to ensure processes are efficient, scalable, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, GIS, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business process management, process architecture, or business analysis
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, Transportation Working Identification Card (TWIC) or similar, which typically requires proof of U.S. Citizenship and a background check
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams
  • Experience with the Esri ArcGIS suite of applications and solutions, including administration and deployment of server-side Enterprise technologies and Web GIS Application administration (e.g. ArcGIS Experience Builder, Survey 123, etc.)
  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives or system implementations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Enthusiasm and expertise for creating user-friendly system administrator and power-user documentation; system architecture and process diagrams, and design documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience the Combat Support business area (Civil Engineering, Force Protection, or Base Logistics)
  • Experience working with AFIMSC or AFCEC
  • Experience with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) and knowledge of business process optimization/analysis/improvement, and/or DOTMLPF analysis

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, designs, and documents end-to-end business processes across functional areas
  • Identifies process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities using Lean, Six Sigma, DOTMLPF-P Analysis, or similar methodologies
  • Leads standardization and optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Develops and maintains process models, workflows, and documentation.
  • Partners with IT, Solution Architects, and Enterprise Architects to ensure processes align with system capabilities, architectures, and the enterprise mission.
  • Supports digital transformation and automation initiatives by defining current-state and future-state processes.
  • Establishes and maintains process governance standards and best practices.
  • Facilitates workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate designs.
  • Measures process performance using KPIs and recommend continuous improvement actions.
  • Ensures processes meet compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
  • Develops and delivers briefings and workshops for enterprise stakeholders and leadership
