Our current hospital holds 258 beds and serves the five-county Hickory area. One of our goals at Catawba Valley Medical Center is to provide seamless care between your primary care provider and our hospital. We work with a plethora of medical specialists capable of diagnosing, treating and operating on a wide variety of conditions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and administrative or project support experience totaling at least five years.
  • Five years of administrative or project support experience using computer applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office beyond basic functions and strong professional writing skills.
  • The incumbent is expected to achieve full proficiency in all job responsibilities within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and business process support across multiple service lines
  • Facilitating meetings
  • Documenting workflows
  • Maintaining accurate business records
  • Supports process improvement efforts by creating and updating process maps, SOPs, and organizational documentation
  • Coordinates projects and initiatives
  • Tracks milestones
  • Interacts with stakeholders, consultants, and general contractors, including travel to sites as needed
  • Performs general office duties and manages correspondence while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, adaptability, and strong computer and professional writing skills.
