About The Position

Protiviti Inc. seeks a Business Performance Improvement (BPI) – Finance, Manager in Seattle, WA: Job Duties: Identify areas of business risk and opportunities to improve efficiencies within the client’s overall business processes. Evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret financial and accounting data and information. Implement new accounting guidance (GAAP or IFRS) and create customized accounting policies for clients. Identify and communicate gaps to the client and other key stakeholders and assist the client in developing and executing a roadmap to remediate the identified gaps. Assess current state process flows and recommend and develop future state process flows related to core business and finance processes such as Financial Reporting, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, as well as specific accounting areas, such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Fixed Assets, Payroll, and Inventory. Develop lasting relationships with client personnel and seek to further these relationships through quality product delivery. Assist clients with transformation, transition, and transaction-related initiatives, including the following: Address transaction backlogs and related process improvements; “Lift and shift” of finance and accounting team or shared service center; M&A integration and divestitures; and IPO-related initiatives. Serve as a key member of public company readiness assessments. Partner with clients to support control remediation work and provide recommendations to implement gaps and enhance the control environment. Assist clients in identifying business requirements related to system selection and pre-implementation design assessments. Research complex accounting situations and understand the accounting treatment. Provide oversight, review work, and coordinate across teams to effectively complete the assigned work by the project deadline. Partial telecommuting permitted. U.S. Domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Experience with accounting operations, financial frameworks, financial accounting systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with decision analysis, including identifying process and pain points for companies by using process mapping and decision analysis trees to figure risk and cost associated with a decision (3 years).
  • Experience with operations research, including network optimization models, dynamic programming, and discrete optimization to help clients model solutions for current state issues and change management.
  • Experience with performing data and business analytics using knowledge of Python and Tableau to help create dashboards to help consolidate organization information into easy to access charts and models (3 years).
  • Experience with performing financial and cost analysis by establishing and enforcing procedures for clients, providing trends and forecasts, explaining processes, and recommending actions (3 years).
  • Experience with analyzing existing processes and recommending effective strategies to resolve concerns encountered by client companies.
  • Partial telecommuting permitted.
  • U.S. Domestic travel to client sites may be required, as needed.
