About The Position

DRW is seeking a Business Operations & Execution Analyst to provide analytical and execution support on cross-functional initiatives aligned to firm-wide operating priorities. This role focuses on helping translate leadership direction into clear analysis, communication, and disciplined execution across Trading, Technology, and Corporate functions. This position does not involve trading strategy or investment decision-making. Instead, it is designed for someone early in their career who brings strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a bias toward execution in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. This role is well suited for candidates with 2–4 years of management consulting or similar experience who are looking to apply structured problem-solving and analytical rigor in an internal role focused on driving outcomes across firm-wide initiatives. The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful ownership of analytical work that informs decisions and supports follow-through across Trading, Technology, and Support functions. The role is Chicago-based and does not require regular travel. The position is hybrid 4 days per week in office.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience, such as management consulting, internal strategy/execution, or analytical roles in financial services or technology-driven environments
  • Exposure to trading, markets, or trading-adjacent functions (operations, risk, technology)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint or other presentation tools
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts and clearly communicate strategic problem-solving and process improvement suggestions
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Highest level or professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion

  • Experience supporting implementation, transformation, or operational improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to trading, markets, or trading-adjacent functions (e.g., operations, risk, technology)
  • Experience working in complex, fast-paced, or regulated operating environments

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and execution support across a range of business operations and firm-wide initiatives, with scope and priorities evolving based on the needs of the firm and senior leadership
  • Apply structured problem-solving approaches to ambiguous questions, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform decisions and recommendations
  • Gather, validate, and synthesize information from across Trading, Technology, and Corporate teams, distilling complex inputs into clear insights and recommended actions
  • Prepare materials for senior-level committee meetings and discussions, including analyses, summaries, and recommended next steps
  • Translate decisions into clear analytical outputs and follow-ups that help ensure intended outcomes are achieved
  • Track actions, risks, and dependencies to support momentum, accountability, and execution discipline
  • Evaluate and vet ideas as needed, helping translate viable and valuable concepts into clearly defined initiatives or operating capabilities
