About The Position

FanDuel is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Payments and Fraud Business Operations team. The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for developing and performing data analysis to detect and prevent fraud & optimize our support function. The Business Operations Analyst will partner with internal teams to contribute to our Fraud and support Strategy across all FanDuel’s products (Sportsbook, Casino, Daily Fantasy, etc). This includes working with a wide range of teams from Analytics, Payments, Product, Legal, and Commercial, to innovate and optimize fraud & support strategies all with the goal of a customer first experience to help optimize our support team and build strategies to protect our platform from would-be fraudsters. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of complexity, ambiguity, changing priorities and flex based on demand
  • Extremely detail oriented with superb organizational skills.
  • SQL proficiency
  • Strong ability to create excel models and presentations
  • Working knowledge of payments systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Python / Tableau experience preferred
  • Knowledge of sports betting and online gambling a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Internal and External Stakeholders to support and optimize our entire Payments stack, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Assist with day-to-day payment performance analyses, troubleshooting issues across acquiring, payouts, and APMs.
  • Monitor authorization rates, settlement performance, and payment success metrics; identify trends and partner with processors to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Risk teams to optimize payment routing, cost efficiency, and user experience.
  • Support the creation, automation, and maintenance of real-time payment reporting dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses for payment exceptions, declines, and processing errors, escalating or remediating as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payment processes through automation, tooling enhancements, and new solution development.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly payment performance and cost metrics for Business Leaders and the Executive team.
