Business Operations Analyst Position Overview The Business Operations Analyst supports key operational and financial functions within the organization. This role works closely with Accounting, Finance, and cross‑functional departments—including Underwriting, IT, and Claims Administration—as well as external program and reinsurance partners. Strong organizational skills and effective communication are essential. Familiarity with program business structures is beneficial but can be developed through on‑the‑job training.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working with external vendors and customers.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivot tables).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile weekly and monthly reports with third‑party administrators, program partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and developers to automate reconciliation and reporting processes.
  • Assist in evaluating and improving operational workflows to increase efficiency.
  • Calculate and communicate fee schedules for external partners.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reporting schedules.
  • Support leadership during Third‑Party Risk Management audits.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships to support premium collection and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Validate commission calculations to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytical support for internal teams and external business partners.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Contribute to loss ratio updates by evaluating and applying commission rate adjustments.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects that advance operational and organizational goals.
