Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years healthcare accounting or accounts receivable experience.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or senior living business office management preferred.
  • Good communication skills in working with residents, staff, families, and the public.
  • Census maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency with billing software, general ledger/accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel (including spreadsheet utilization).
  • Experience with collections and billing with state and federal agencies.
  • General understanding of financial statement transactions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional, respectful, and resident-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare or senior living business office management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Starts the required process by completing the necessary forms for social work, nursing, and other departments to obtain the clinical level of care approval
  • Manage financial records, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance documentation
  • Coordinate with clinical and care teams to ensure billing accuracy and timely processing
  • Lead and support administrative staff to maintain efficient office procedures
  • Handle confidential resident information with professionalism and discretion
  • Serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff regarding business office questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
