About The Position

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a Business Office Assistant/Medical Biller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing and coordinating administrative duties and office procedures within our skilled nursing facility. Your contributions will help create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. A successful Office Assistant should have experience with a wide range of office software (including email tools, spreadsheets, and databases) and be capable of accurately handling administrative duties. Requirements

  • Knowledge of office administration responsibilities, systems, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines, printers).
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform billing tasks for various insurance companies.
  • Manage residents' Trust accounts.
  • Meet multiple deadlines associated with billing and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with medical applications and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for office management duties, including billing and collections.
  • Manage residents' Trust accounts effectively.
  • Verify patients’ insurance benefits and ensure the accuracy of billing processes.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments as needed.
  • Update and maintain office policies to reflect current practices.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and payment of all items.
  • Provide general support to visitors and staff.
