About The Position

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. SNC has led thoughtful and disruptive change in the aerospace and defense industry for the past 60 years and now, we’re applying this tenacity and expertise to the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF) Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission. The Business Manager II is responsible for leading and overseeing business operations with a focus on financial performance and strategic resource planning. This role involves managing budgets, overseeing costs, coordinating business resource planning/tracking, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. The Business Manager II also acts as a key liaison between business groups, business organizations and/or Corporate Program Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or a related field with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports and/or projections.
  • Hands-on expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and financial reporting, including financial systems and analysis.
  • Proficiency with EVMS tools (e.g. Cobra, Empower)
  • Experience working in hybrid, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret financial or EVM data and prepare reports or projections.
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting, or public auditing policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience with multiple government contract types, including FFP, FPI, FPLOE, T&M, CPAF, CPFF, CPIF, and hybrid contracts.
  • An active Secret or Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and reviews key financial and EVM deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures program execution remains within negotiated contractual parameters and applicable government cost control guidelines.
  • Direct management and development of individual contributors, including scope assignments, coaching, performance feedback, and professional growth.
  • Ensure consistent execution of program finance processes and accurate incorporation of contractual, scope, and funding changes into cost control systems.
  • Oversee month-end performance activities and preparation of month-end reports; review Estimates at Completion (EACs) for accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Partner directly with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) leads, serving as an advisor to support informed decision-making and program objectives.
  • Advises on Earned Value Management (EVM) best practices and general compliance.
  • Lead audit support activities and assist with complex financial data requests.
