Position Function: Reports to Asst Director & Fiscal Admin. Performs standard accounting functions such as cost analysis, reconciliation, posting, report preparation and budget monitoring. Analyzes financial and operating data and prepares management reports and financial statements. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Anticipated Appointment Date: April 2026. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following examples are intended as illustrations only of the various types of duties assigned in positions allocated to this classification. Monitors revenue and expenses for departmental or unit accounts; ensures expenditure control and compliance with funding and reporting requirements, university policy, and standard accounting procedures. 2. Constructs routine spreadsheet applications, prepares financial data, and generates reports. 3. Coordinates the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, analyses, studies, and financial information for local, state, federal and private funding sources. 4. Reviews expenditure, personnel, and purchasing documents for availability of funding, mathematical correctness, and compliance with university policy and state and federal funding requirements. 5. Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records; assists with budget development and special financial reports. 6. Prepares, reviews, and processes budget, revenue, expense, payroll, and related correcting entries. 7. Assists with instructing department members in unrestricted and restricted funding requirements and methods and assists with budget development. 8. Plans, organizes, directs and schedules operations and maintenance in functional areas of building services. 9. Handles all building reservations. Schedules events to ensure no conflicts with scheduling. 10. Handles all customer billing and bill processing. Calculates customer charges, invoicing customers, and ensuring payment is collected for those who use the Bost Conference Center. 11. Exercises oversight of ordering, use, storage, and security of supplies, tools, and equipment. 12. Insures facilities are kept in a clean, presentable, and operational condition. 13. Coordinates set-ups for events of MSU departments, student organizations and guests. 14. Collaborates with various internal and external departments/customers to effectively coordinate renovations, set-ups, repairs, maintenance, and building closures. 15. Conducts site evaluations as required. 16. Supervise, manage, and issue keys, access cards, and other items related to building access and security. 17. Compiles quarterly and annual building usage reports. 18. Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals. 19. Performs related duties as assigned.
