The Business Management and Leadership Intern position is a 12-week program designed to introduce emerging professionals to the PEO industry and the world of managing a business and leading a team. Our internship program was created to support the next generation of talent in finding meaningful professional development experiences within the industry. You will grow with the help of your direct manager, be exposed to different leadership, departments, and create lasting connections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience working in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, adjusting, and approving timecards.
  • Drafting departmental email communications.
  • Learning how to use CoPilot to assist with email communications.
  • Managing and planning Fundations events.
  • Assigning a project for the intern to own throughout their internship, incorporating project planning and time management.
  • Co-leading Tampa team meetings, progressing to co-leading the Payroll Department's weekly meetings.
  • Leading Tampa Fundations events.
  • Reviewing and practicing Emotional Intelligence.
  • Discussing and practicing effective communication.
  • Joining escalation calls to understand how to respond to and deescalate client issues and concerns.
