About The Position

Achieves or exceeds sales goals by providing complete account penetration within the designated business travel market segment. Maximizes profitability and revenue for Hotel Viata and the PHG Collection through strategic account management, new business development, and cross-selling opportunities across transient, group, and catering segments. Establishes and maintains strong client relationships while proactively seeking new business to drive overall revenue performance. What You Will Bring: Actively solicit new business opportunities through prospecting, research, networking, and relationship-building with corporate accounts, travel managers, travel agents, and key business influencers. Participate in industry organizations, trade shows, community events, sales blitzes, and field presentations to develop business and expand market presence. Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent communication, exceptional service, and strategic account management. Analyze and respond to business opportunities by reviewing market trends, competition, and customer needs. Prepare proposals, respond to RFPs (including Lanyon), and maintain accurate client data and production reports. Conduct site inspections, familiarization trips, and client presentations to showcase Hotel Viata and PHG's offerings. Maintain detailed and accurate records in all hotel and CRM systems. Respond to client inquiries, coordinate special requests, and resolve concerns within scope of authority while ensuring exceptional guest and client satisfaction. Collaborate with internal teams to support cross-selling, revenue strategies, marketing initiatives, and hotel-wide business goals. Support the overall success of the Sales Department by attending trainings, business review meetings, direct marketing initiatives, and other department activities. You will bring your experience, skills, and knowledge in hotel sales, along with a positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering the highest level of service to all guests and clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Business preferred.
  • Two or more years of hotel sales experience (Business Travel, Catering/Event Sales, Travel Manager/Advisor/Agent, or Executive Meeting Manager experience preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to close business and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of hotel service standards, guest relations, and sales processes.
  • Ability to use logic, reasoning, and problem-solving skills in complex or high-pressure situations.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, holidays, and travel for industry events and sales missions.
  • Must maintain a clean, professional appearance.
