We are looking for a motivated Business Intelligence Software Developer to support the development of data models, reports, and automation solutions across the organization. THE PERSON: This role is ideal for someone with solid foundational experience in Power BI, SQL, and Python, who is eager to grow into a broader analytics engineering and Power Platform skillset. You will work with senior team members to design and maintain business intelligence solutions, optimize SharePoint Online data structures, and support key reporting initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in BI development, data analytics, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, relationships, measures).
  • Practical experience with SharePoint Online lists, including list creation and calculated columns.
  • Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with SQL Server.
  • Basic-to-intermediate Python scripting skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and follow structured problem-solving processes.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Power Platform tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of BI governance, workspace management, or deployment pipelines.
  • Able to handle multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on producing accurate and reliable outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
  • Develop DAX measures, calculated columns, and effective data models.
  • Create and optimize Power Query (M) transformations and ETL logic within Power BI.
  • Assist with building and maintaining Power BI semantic models.
  • Create, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online lists, including calculated columns and list-based data structures.
  • Integrate SharePoint Online lists and other data sources into Power BI.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting needs.
  • Provide basic SQL Server administration and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Use Python for data manipulation, automation scripts, or analytics tasks.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Help ensure data accuracy, documentation, and adherence to governance standards.
