The Business Intelligence Developer plays a central role in enabling and strengthening data driven decision making across operations, logistics, inventory management, and finance. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern analytics solutions that enhance organizational visibility, improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and support more efficient and informed business processes. The role works closely with IT, finance, and operational teams to understand strategic and day‑to‑day business needs, translate them into scalable BI solutions, and continuously advance the company’s analytical capabilities to support long‑term organizational growth. A successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights that drive measurable business outcomes. They will be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement, comfortable navigating a dynamic environment, and committed to building high‑quality, data‑driven tools that empower stakeholders across the organization. This role will also be an integral part of the Reagent IT team and participate in the on-call rotation to ensure business continuity and system availability during off-hours. Responsibilities include responding to critical incidents, troubleshooting urgent technical issues, and coordinating with internal teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational stability. The Salary range is $95,000 to $110,000 based on experience.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data modeling, visualization, and DAX development.
  • Strong SQL experience, including query optimization and relational database management.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services (Data Factory, Blob Storage, SQL Services).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic distribution and supply chain focused environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building process automations using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Experience using Spreadsheet Server Financial Reporting (plus).

Responsibilities

  • Analytics & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models supporting operational, supply chain, and financial initiatives.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership teams to deliver accurate datasets, KPIs, and reporting packages supporting budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop standardized reporting frameworks and self‑service BI capabilities for business users.
  • Data Engineering & Integrations: Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, data models, and relational database structures to ensure performance, scalability, and data integrity.
  • Partner with Internal IT to integrate and manage data flows across internal and cloud‑based systems, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, SQL Services, and Enterprise SaaS Applications.
  • Support the development of reliable data pipelines for visibility into logistics, inventory, and operational activity.
  • Collaboration & Solution Development: Work with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and transform business needs into technical BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and compliance with internal standards and governance practices.
  • Present findings clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • This role will also provide collaborative support of our business users and technologies
