About The Position

Business Intelligence Analyst – FP&A – WDM , Iowa The Business Intelligence Analyst (FP&A) plays a critical role in enhancing the organization’s financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities. Embedded within the FP&A team, this role leverages data, reporting tools, and analytical models to provide clear financial insights that support budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate combines financial acumen with technical skills in data modeling and visualization.

  • Problem-solving abilities to resolve complicated issues and/or situations.
  • Ability to think critically and use analytical skills to solve standard matters.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull objects.
  • Must be knowledgeable of and comply with HMA's Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1-2 years of Experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business intelligence, or financial analytics.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Alteryx, Workday, Power BI, Adaptive, SQL, and Fabric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial reporting packages using BI and ERP tools (e.g., Power BI, Workday Salesforce).
  • Analyze and work with financial performance data across revenue, expenses, and operational drivers.
  • Assist with the automation of components of the budget, forecast, and long‑range plan processes using BI tools and structured datasets.
  • Work closely with FP&A analysts to validate assumptions, reconcile data, and support scenario modeling.
  • Partner with business leaders, FP&A team members, and operational finance partners to understand financial drivers.
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and finance systems teams to improve data pipelines and financial data structures.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation and improved data integration.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all finance reporting environments.
  • Support the development of automated reporting processes, self-service analytics and improvement of processes across the Finance team.
  • Serve as a BI subject‑matter‑expert within Finance, coaching others on tools, data sources, and analytical best practices.
  • Create ad-hoc analyses to support special initiatives, forecasts, and strategic planning.
  • Document data sources, definitions, and reporting standards to maintain governance and transparency
