The Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA) will be a key resource on the Enterprise Analytics team, responsible for identifying business intelligence and data analysis needs in support of strategic business objectives across clinical and operational areas. The BIA3 serves as a subject matter expert and demonstrates expertise in designing, delivering, and maintaining complex business intelligence and data analytics solutions. Works closely with stakeholders to analyze and identify data needs, assesses and identifies data sources, and extracts and manipulates data using a variety of reporting and analytical tools to present information in a meaningful and actionable way. The analyst integrates data from disparate sources to provide new insights, and will design and develop visualizations, interactive dashboards, and other displays to communicate results effectively. Takes direction and guidance from lead analysts and department leadership to work towards enhancement of self and the team's data and analytic competencies. Mentors junior analysts and guides users across the organization to promote data education and a data-driven culture in all aspects of clinical and business operations. End-to-End Ownership: This analyst handles the request from initial specs through to publication and user support (UAT). Focus of work: 50% of the day is individual coding/problem solving; 50% is collaborating with internal customers (DBAs, clinical/business teams) and external customers (state agencies, insurance, etc.). Training: 6-week "Round Robin" internal cross-training is provided to ensure exposure to all business/clinical areas. Flexibility: Leadership is highly supportive of work-life balance. Growth: Firm commitment to paying for and facilitating 3 Epic certifications within the first year. Once certified, the role typically converts to higher level position. Impact: Not a "siloed" role; analysts see exactly how their data solutions help the hospital and community. Hybrid Structure: Candidates within 45 minutes of the Shaw office: 2 days/week on-site. If farther out, individuals will be required to come onsite for important meetings/events/training. Anchor Days: One day must be a Tuesday or Thursday; the second day is flexible. Hours: Flexible 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
