Purpose Research new markets and opportunities, curate new business, and maintain a database of business development materials to improve company performance and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, architecture, or related industry required.
  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in a professional business development role.
  • Minimum three (3) years of practical experience in the AEC industry.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a sales assistant, lead generator, or a direct sales role.
  • Professional registration (P.E, etc.) and industry accreditations (LEED AP) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (with strong InDesign experience).
  • Demonstrated layout and production skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HTML, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Continually market the firm's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.
  • Write, prepare, layout, and produce qualifications packages, proposals, presentation materials, award submissions, and competition entries.
  • Initiate conversations with potential clients via phone and email outreach.
  • Perform regular searches to identify new ways of reaching prospective clients.
  • Maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and follow up with regular outreach.
  • Demonstrate, map, and integrate disparate AEC technologies to solve design workflow inefficiencies that supports client's goals.
  • Perform in-depth assessments to investigate, uncover, and understand a client's business issues and how Bowman can meet those needs.
  • Present proposed solutions and relate them to the client's business issues and goals.
  • Perform analysis and lead discovery of adjacent opportunities.
