About The Position

We are seeking a self-motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Specialist to support growth for our radiology practice. This role focuses on increasing referrals to local sites, strengthening relationships with referring providers and imaging center teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, market insight, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in the field with reliable transportation, while collaborating with leadership to understand and meet the needs of each site and each local healthcare market represented by this position.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1- 3 years’ experience in marketing or outside sales involving building lasting relationships with customers in the health care industry preferred.
  • Education: B. A. in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is preferred.

  • In order to protect physicians, employees and patients of Radia from contracting COVID-19 and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and in compliance with Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 21-14 (“COVID- 19 Vaccination Requirement”), Radia requires that all Health Care Setting Workers receive a COVID-19 vaccination, subject to the exemptions.
  • New hires will be required to present written proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a written request for an Exemption within 30 days of hire if hired prior to October 18, 2021 and immediately upon hire if hired on or after October 18, 2021.

Responsibilities

  • Building Referring Provider Relationships: Engages in dialogue with referring providers and staff to understand their needs and match those needs to Radia and our partner sites' service offerings. Skilled at questioning, reflecting and clarifying.
  • Teaming with Local Imaging Teams: Builds strong working relationships with customers, site management, and staff; keeps marketing and medical directors informed of outreach activities and incorporates their feedback; and develops and maintains knowledge of key exams and procedures performed at assigned locations.
  • Site Visits: Collaborates with the Marketing leadership and local site leadership to create a flexible site visit plan based on daily priorities, identifies referral opportunities and service issues, provides feedback to site management, and works together to implement solutions.
  • Market Knowledge: Develops a thorough understanding of the market for each site within the assigned territory, analyzes competitors to identify key differentiators and potential weaknesses, and regularly reports findings and analyses to marketing leadership.
  • Building Corporate Relationships: Engages with site Medical Directors and Diagnostic Imaging leadership to understand their needs, collaborates with Marketing leadership and Business Development to ensure Radia meets those needs, conducts regularly scheduled rounds with assigned partners, and reports any feedback or issues.
