About The Position

We're seeking a talented Business Development Representative to join our rapidly growing team in Chicago! In this role, you will reach out to many prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to educate them on moving away from legacy and ineffective tools in favor of a modern data security solution. You love to foster relationships and enjoy interpersonal interactions. You’re self-motivated and can hit the ground running in prospecting, managing, and qualifying prospects. You’re excited to learn the fundamentals of sales and are eager to apply your communication skills to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As a Business Development Representative , you will be in charge of expanding our user-base and qualifying potential B2B sales prospects as you leverage lead campaigns including cold calling, email, and social media. In addition, your role entails helping line up named accounts, with a huge opportunity for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, especially when it comes to complicated topics.

  • You’re an overachiever. You never quit, never take no for an answer, and ultimately succeed in everything you do!
  • Ideally, experience as an SDR/BDR or inside sales professional in a B2B SaaS technology company
  • Cloud/data security industry experience a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, and Sales Navigator preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use Salesforce and other sales tools, build lead lists, craft outbound messaging, and share results with the larger sales team
  • Prospect into accounts within your territory and find leads to qualify for your Enterprise Sales counterpart
  • Initiate sales conversations with key decision makers at target companies
  • Manage inbound inquiries and lead management
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Cyera Data Security Platform, industry trends, and competition
  • Strive to exceed targets for daily activities and monthly and quarterly pipeline goals
  • Conduct high-level conversations with mid and senior-level executives in the security space
  • Learn, get better, hit your numbers, and raise your game–every day
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Work out of Cyera’s office (Chicago)
