About The Position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in growing our customer base and expanding market share within an assigned territory. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities and connecting prospective customers with our sales team. You’ll work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and local Field Sales Manager to identify prospects, build relationships, and create qualified opportunities for our sales team. Our solutions include: Raymond lift trucks Aftermarket service and parts (Raymond and non-Raymond equipment) Industrial batteries and charging systems Warehouse and material handling solutions This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is competitive, curious, and eager to build a career in industrial sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and eager to learn
  • Organized with good time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Comfortable using navigation and mapping tools

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business opportunities by phone, email, and in-person visits
  • Travel within your assigned territory to meet with potential customers
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Schedule meetings between prospects and sales representatives
  • Maintain accurate prospect data in the CRM system
  • Use business intelligence tools and reports to plan prospecting strategies
  • Collaborate with the sales team in a dynamic, team-based selling environment
  • Participate in ride-alongs with experienced sales reps to learn strategies and techniques
  • Assist with quotes and proposals by working with vendors and internal teams
  • Manage your schedule across CRM activities, calls, and field visits
  • Attend product and service training sessions
