About The Position

The Business Development Representative/Consultant is responsible for building new business pipeline and driving adoption of Marco’s solutions. This role combines proactive prospecting, lead qualification, appointment setting, and client relationship management to accelerate growth and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and 2 years' experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of success in business development, inside sales, or tech-related customer engagement required. Prior telesales experience preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms required.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal insurance (for occasional client visits).
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong discovery, reasoning, and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and able to work independently.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and solutions-focused mindset.
  • Ability to interact professionally with prospects and clients from diverse industries and backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with managed services, IT environments, print infrastructure, or technology buying cycles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage prospects through outbound calls, emails, and digital outreach using Salesforce CRM.
  • Qualify sales prospects, produce quality leads, and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Marco’s products, services, industry trends, competitors, and clients.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and leaders on account strategy, demand generation, and outreach campaigns.
  • Uncover business challenges and solution needs related to Managed IT, Print, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Voice/UC, and Professional Services.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring clients receive value-added solutions and supporting corrective action processes.
  • Identify and drive product expansion, upsell opportunities, and service renewals with existing clients.
  • Participate in vendor and product training, demos, and events to stay proficient in offerings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and comply with documentation and administrative procedures.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs for outbound activity, contact rates, meetings scheduled, pipeline creation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend required company and departmental meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
