About The Position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for finding and screening potential clients who could benefit from Prisma’s print, direct mail, large format signage, branded merch, marketing logistics and fulfillment services. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal BDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. The individual must have comprehensive knowledge of and sell all offered services of Prisma including printing, mail, large format, promotional products, Prisma technologies, and other capabilities. They must be excellent communicators and be comfortable selling with a team. Prisma Summary Prisma is a full-service marketing solutions partner that is an expert in commercial print, signage, direct mail, packaging, and branded merch. These solutions flow through our integrated technology platform, dokshop. With six strategically located facilities, we support national and multi-location brands. Prisma has more than 40 years of experience and excels in supporting brands in the healthcare, restaurant, financial services, insurance, franchise, publishing and hospitality spaces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a business-to-business sales and/or account management role.
  • The employee is required to have a driver’s license.
  • Occasional travel to client sites/events/conferences (travel up to 15%).
  • The employee is required to have a comprehensive understanding of business and marketing.
  • Possesses an extensive understanding of Prisma’s offerings and value proposition.
  • Effective communications – written and verbal.
  • Strong research methodology and personalization throughout prospecting.
  • Creative mindset in all aspects of the prospecting lifecycle.
  • Able to work in a team setting and lead when necessary.
  • Ability to listen and identify creative solutions.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Perform all duties with a high degree of skill and minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive work style, strong work ethic, initiative and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Contacting potential clients through outbound cold calls, email, marketing kits, and in-person networking.
  • Making initial client contact and building trust and relationships.
  • Foster customer interest in learning more about the company’s products or services.
  • Identifying customer needs and communicating how Prisma can provide solutions to those needs.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Act as a liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams, including content creation and event marketing.
  • Schedule appointments between (prospective) customers and Account Executives and effectively transition prospective account ownership.
  • Actively participate in initial discovery call and demo process.
  • Research and identify prospective clients that meet our ideal customer profile.
  • Attend in-person networking events and conferences to build relationships and identify prospective customers.
  • Accurately report internal administration: Hubspot CRM activity log, sales pipeline forecasting, weekly reports to management and proposal planning.
  • Meet and exceed sales KPI metrics for emails, calls, and qualified meetings.
