About The Position

Volatus Drones is seeking a high-energy Business Development Representative to immerse themselves in the drone industry and become a true sales force of nature. As a hybrid position based in our Syracuse, NY office, you will be surrounded by the latest UAS technology and gain hands-on exposure to our products, services, and customers. You will generate leads, qualify prospects, and create sales opportunities while building deep industry expertise that allows you to speak confidently to clients, influence decisions, and help grow our market presence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in lead generation or sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, with a collaborative approach.
  • Associate's degree or currently enrolled in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in the drone or technology industry is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of BDR experience.
  • Willingness to travel across the US (travel to clients, trade shows and events, and Syracuse, NY HQ)

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential clients in target industries.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls and email.
  • Qualifying inbound leads from events and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of all sales activities.
  • Participate in product demonstrations, pilot training sessions, and customer visits to learn firsthand about our offerings.
  • Work with the marketing team to share industry trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate daily with the sales, operations, and technical teams to accelerate industry knowledge.
