About The Position

We help the world’s largest companies to activate, engage and leverage their corporate alumni to drive revenue and rehiring. Our SaaS software is a powerhouse, driving recruiting efforts, sales opportunities and brand advocates back into our clients' organisations whilst creating a strong alumni value proposition. We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to support the VP of Business Development in driving new commercial opportunities across the UK & US market, with a core focus on financial, professional and legal services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a commercial role designed to develop strong fundamentals in B2B SaaS business development, product demonstration, pipeline management, and customer engagement, with a clear progression toward owning and managing an independent pipeline in the future.

  • Previous exposure to B2B sales, SaaS, or technology (internship, placement, or graduate role).
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Basic understanding of business development or account management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP of Business Development across all stages of the sales cycle from outbound to deal close.
  • Assist with outbound and inbound prospect engagement (email, phone, LinkedIn).
  • Conduct structured follow-ups after meetings, demos, and events.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and contact data.
  • Learn the product in depth and deliver structured product demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Support live demos led by senior team members.
  • Tailor demonstrations to different customer types and use cases.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to the wider team and accurately report in the CRM.
  • Prepare and customise pitch decks, proposals, and commercial materials.
  • Ensure sales materials are accurate, up to date, and aligned with brand and messaging, working with marketing.
  • Assist in creating case studies, one-pagers, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the SaaS business model, pricing, and commercial structures.
  • Learn how to qualify opportunities, manage a pipeline, and forecast accurately.
  • Shadow senior sales professionals to understand deal strategy and negotiation.
  • Progressively take ownership of smaller opportunities and accounts.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
  • Support handovers from sales to onboarding and account management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and tools.
