About The Position

The BDR is responsible for generating profitable, sustainable growth by identifying, developing, and securing new industrial and manufacturing accounts. You will manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting and site assessments to proposal development, contract negotiation, onboarding, and long‑term account retention. This role requires a complex understanding of manufacturing operations, material flows, and commodity markets, along with the ability to design recycling solutions that support both customer needs and facility throughput goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5–7 years of demonstrated success in mid‑ to high‑level B2B outside sales experience, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or service-based environments; experience within the waste & recycling industry is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex sales solutions based on analysis of client needs with C‑suite decision makers while simultaneously engaging frontline and operational employees for a multi‑level sales engagement approach that demonstrates ROI at every level of the organization.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or service‑based environments strongly preferred
  • Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Business acumen and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret material and commodity data
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal as well as superior relationship‑building skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite and CRM tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines with a track record of taking initiative and driving results.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transpiration, and comfort working in both office and industrial settings

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business and expand existing customer relationships to drive tonnage and profitable revenue growth
  • Conduct on‑site material assessments and design recycling and sourcing solutions
  • Prepare proposals, RFPs, contracts, and service recommendations
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, provide forecasts, track, and plan sales activity
  • Collaborating with Leadership, Operations, Customer Service and Accounting teams to ensure program success
  • Identify equipment needs and recommend sales or lease options to improve customer efficiency
  • Support departmental planning, process improvements, and special projects
  • Stay on top of industry trends and changes
