About The Position

Gasser Chair is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by expanding market exposure, developing strategic client relationships, and leading the sales process from opportunity identification through project execution. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Sales, this role is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager serves as a consultative partner to customers, delivering creative, value-driven solutions that meet pricing, design, and delivery requirements while supporting Gasser Chair's profitability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Proven business development and consultative sales experience with a strong relationship-based approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Confident, articulate communicator with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Prior account management or business development experience required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years of business-to-business sales experience preferred, ideally within furniture, commercial interiors, or design-driven industries.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic business development initiatives that consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets and profit objectives.
  • Account Management & New Business Development: Develop, manage, and expand a portfolio of existing accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Identify and qualify customer requirements, scope of work, pricing expectations, and delivery timelines for each project.
  • Project Leadership: Develop a clear understanding of project timelines and order processes, including custom solutions, and manage projects from proposal through execution.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the Product and Design Manager, Director of Sales, and cross-functional internal teams to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Customer Communication: Provide complete, timely communication throughout the sales and execution process to improve coordination, manage costs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Quoting & Negotiation: Facilitate customer requests for pricing, specifications, and information; prepare quotes; collaborate with Marketing on presentations; and negotiate pricing, terms, finishes, and options.
  • Market Development: Leverage relationships across Gaming, Hospitality, Commercial Real Estate, Architecture & Design (A&D), Construction, and Facilities Management sectors to identify opportunities and share competitive insights.
  • Networking & Events: Attend regional and national industry events and trade shows; participate in, plan, or host events at Gasser Chair inspiration centers, showrooms, or off-site locations.
  • Client Engagement: Secure appointments and group meetings to promote Gasser Chair capabilities and solutions.
  • Sales Systems & Forecasting: Utilize ERP, CRM, and other company technology to track quotes, customer activity, and pipeline; provide accurate weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
