About The Position

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Coatings team covering Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Come create chemistry with us! BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions offers high-quality refinish paint brands and paint-related products to body shops from around the world. Our solutions are approved by the world’s leading automotive manufacturers for the repair of their vehicles. We provide collision centers with a vast array of solutions that help drive their business performance and efficiency. At the heart of our business are our people and our trainers who take care of our customers’ needs including car painting skills, advanced body shop management solutions, and sophisticated management solutions. We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Business Development Manager in the Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina markets. We have big goals for our Automotive Refinish group and we’re working hard to become the top provider of automotive refinish coatings. In this role, you will work with strategic collision center customers to develop their business growth and profitability. You will work across the BASF organization to support the development of new value-added tools/services, new business proposals, and strategic business plans to increase revenues and profits focused on strategic account growth and retention. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong customer focus and project management experience
  • Experience positioning business solutions for commercial success
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive refinish industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Working with strategic customers on process improvement, best practices, standard operating procedures, and key performance indicator improvement.
  • Conducting business reviews with key customers partnering with them for a successful future.
  • Thinking creatively and outside the box to provide the best solutions for our customers.
  • Building strong relationships internally and externally to help support our sales goals.
