Opportunity To meet the growing need for water filtration and stormwater runoff pollutant removal, our dedicated AquaShield team of engineers design and create integrated product solutions that exceed the water quality standards expected in today’s rapidly evolving stormwater community. Through use of proprietary custom and retrofit applications, we deliver LEED accredited lightweight and durable modular units that provide green infrastructure and best in class products via Aqua-Swirl, Aqua-Filter, and Aqua-Ponic products. Working closely with the Engineering team, the Business Development Manager will build business opportunities in the land development and municipal and industrial sectors through sales to distributor, end-users and/or contracted manufacturer representatives.The Business Development Manager will provide coverage for the South-Central United States (Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado).

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree, Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering license preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience with innovative products in the Stormwater Management space
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals
  • Strong computer proficiency including use of Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems, required
  • Demonstrated relationship building, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop strategic plans for assigned territory through research in market trends, regional codes, etc.
  • Develop relationships to influence agencies, owners, and specifiers of civil sitework solutions and gain/grow acceptance of AquaShield’s solutions.
  • Build and maintain consultative sales relationships with new and existing clients, including business development initiatives, providing product suggestions and expertise, and collaboration
  • Increase industry awareness through attendance and participation in tradeshows, conferences, meetings, and presentations.
  • Routinely engage (in person) end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities and to expand awareness of the AquaShield’s products within the industry.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert within your geographic territory.
  • Provide timely follow-up on customer requests and quotations.
  • Maintain client info, project status, and quotations in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
  • Support the growth of AquaShield’s national growth initiatives
  • Assist contractors and municipalities with installation and maintenance practices including pre-bid, pre-construction meetings, and post-construction meetings.
  • Provide management timely feedback on activities related to pending projects and sales, including tracking the pipeline of generated projects.
