Are you looking to help take an expanding company to the next stage of its growth? If so, you may be a great fit for the Business Development Manager (for Industrial Hygiene Services) at Criterion Laboratories. The role will primarily focus on growing Criterion’s Industrial Hygiene field services, but it will also involve efforts to expand Criterion’s Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Services and Criterion’s Environmental Training business. This position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and developing and implementing effective strategies to diversify Criterion’s client base and meet revenue goals.

  • Develop and Implement Strategy:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for Industrial Hygiene Field Services, Environmental Training Services, and Laboratory Services.
  • Identify and target potential clients and partners, including commercial, contractor, education, medical, and public agencies.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to position our services effectively.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Attend networking events and industry conferences
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and networking.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets in collaboration with the SLT
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that client requirements are met and deliverables are on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide feedback on market needs and service improvements.
  • Market Research and Reporting:
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Services, or Water Testing sectors. Experience working with accredited schools is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Hygiene, environmental regulations, and water testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIH, CHMM) preferred.
  • Experience working with accredited schools is a plus.
