In this dynamic role, you will lead our Business Development team to new heights, crafting a clear and accountable path for discovering fresh opportunities and maintaining consistency. You'll actively engage in personal sales initiatives and collaborate with key segment leaders and our Marketing team to implement a forward-thinking, disciplined growth strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field
  • 5+ years of BD or sales experience, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Experience managing a BD or sales team required
  • Demonstrated success conducting personal BD/sales activity and managing a pipeline
  • Strong CRM, organizational, and communication skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative spirit and adaptability to change

Responsibilities

  • Business Development Leadership & Execution:
  • Lead and mentor the Business Development team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
  • Drive personal business development through strategic outreach, relationship-building, and managing a portfolio of opportunities
  • Set team metrics, conduct pipeline reviews, and refine our BD strategy, "The Abdo Way"
  • Pipeline, Process & CRM Stewardship:
  • Own the firm's BD pipeline within HubSpot, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights
  • Create dashboards and summaries that provide visibility into trends and follow-up needs
  • Collaborate with leaders to keep pipeline information current and consistent across segments
  • Opportunity Development & Follow-Up:
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on leads from various sources, including referrals, proposals and events
  • Maintain structured systems for tracking meeting and relationship-building activities
  • Support preparation of proposals and follow-up correspondence
  • Internal Coordination & Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Marketing to synchronize BD efforts with communications, campaigns and events
  • Work with leaders to onboard employees to Abdo's BD processes and CRM expectations
  • Engage in cross-functional meetings to share updates/needs and identify opportunities
