About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in North-Western Australia (Karratha preferred) or Perth (with willingness to travel to Karratha and regional WA as needed). This role is focused on maintaining and expanding an existing client base, building long-term relationships, and identifying new opportunities within the steel industry. You will be backed by one of the most comprehensive product and processing ranges in Australia, including: Quenched and tempered plate, RHS, pipe, sheet & coil. Plate processing including plasma, oxy cutting, drilling, countersinking, and more. A strong supplier network for specialty items like line pipe, hollow bar, grating, mesh, reinforcement, and laser cutting.

Requirements

  • Proven sales and business development experience, ideally in the steel or industrial sector.
  • Strong credibility and trustworthiness in client-facing roles.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively.
  • A results-driven attitude with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives to identify, target, and secure new clients across the mining, construction, engineering, and fabrication sectors.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies that align with company goals and expand market share in key regional areas.
  • Manage and nurture an existing portfolio of loyal clients, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
  • Provide expert, solution-focused advice on steel products, processing capabilities, and logistics tailored to individual customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships by deeply understanding client projects, challenges, and future requirements.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes, tenders, and proposals to convert leads and close sales opportunities
  • Meet or exceed defined sales and revenue targets through effective pipeline management and account growth.

Benefits

  • Full Time $100,000 - $140,000 + Car + Laptop + Phone + Bonus
