As our Business Development Manager, you’ll lead efforts to expand our presence in the Ohio market, build relationships with key decision-makers, and support the pursuit process from start to finish. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on connection, enjoys strategic thinking, and loves collaborating with diverse teams. You’ll play a key part in shaping opportunities and ensuring our messaging reflects Granger’s values and expertise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales processes.
  • Basic understanding of the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy.
  • Comfort with CRM tools (Cosential experience is a plus).
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to team success.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Building a strategic network of professionals and influencers in target markets.
  • Attending industry events and joining organizations to strengthen Granger’s presence.
  • Researching and qualifying new prospects and projects.
  • Motivating and assisting internal teams in developing winning strategies.
  • Managing CRM data in Cosential, including opportunities, clients, and BD calendars.
  • Coaching project staff for presentations and interviews.
  • Supporting marketing efforts by wordsmithing technical content for RFQs/RFPs and reviewing for messaging and compliance.
  • Planning and managing BD-related events (industry functions, client outings, career fairs, etc.).
  • Participating in internal meetings tied to market sectors and BD efforts.
  • Building greater brand awareness in the Ohio market.
