Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 10-year experience in B2G sales of investment goods in traffic/transportation sector
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management, project management or large accounts management
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2G (or B2B) sales
  • Experienced in sales of technological products, ideally in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Networker, able to build relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and systematic approach
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift -50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to travel (>50%) in US and CA and occasional international travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop and secure new customers in new markets and new applications. Develop new projects and partnerships
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets and ensure the growth of the Traffic Solutions business in the Midwest region
  • Manages and supports system integrator accounts and state Departments of Transportation (DOTs). Provides technical and sales support via the telephone, web meeting, email and customer visits.
  • Develops and nurtures business relationships with end users US DOTs, bridge authorities, partners, integrators, research institutes and other authorities for the different applications of the traffic solutions business units.
  • Maintain the relationship with existing accounts and grow business together
  • Act along the sales process provides technical quotes and commercial proposals. Performs proactive follow up and closes orders.
  • Perform competitive analysis and help develop sales and marketing strategies for the specific market sector. Monitor market trends & needs and ensure feedback to the team.
  • Manage territory through company CRM system for accurate monitoring and reporting of progress
  • Implement measures according to the strategy and as defined in annual target agreement and objectives
  • Supports the execution of the marketing promotional plan, by participating to trade shows, seminars and other special activities
  • Work with marketing and team members to develop new content to promote Kistler Traffic Solutions and our products to customers, partners, and internally
  • Networks with other Applications and Sales specialists in the Americas and globally to compare market information.
