About The Position

The Business Development Manager – Industrial Refrigeration is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing client relationships within the industrial refrigeration market. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing projects in food & beverage, cold storage, distribution, and other industrial sectors, while working closely with engineering, construction, and service teams to deliver client focused solutions. The Business Development Manager plays a key role in expanding market share and achieving revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or mechanical services.
  • Proven ability to develop accounts and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong technical understanding of ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in industrial refrigeration markets.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline of projects and service contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and bids to prospective clients
  • Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions in construction, service, and maintenance.
  • Support clients with project planning, budgeting, and technical guidance.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Support marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Identify strategic partnerships to expand service offerings and market reach.
  • Work closely with construction, engineering, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide feedback from clients and market research to inform product and service development.
  • Collaborate with leadership on sales strategies, pricing, and revenue goals.
  • Support internal teams with client communications and contract negotiations.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to company revenue growth.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline development, and performance metrics.
  • Develop sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely CRM data entry and reporting.
