About The Position

Exit Factor is a leading business consulting franchise backed by United Franchise Group, dedicated to empowering owners of small to mid-sized businesses ($1M–$100M revenue) to maximize profitability, efficiency, and company value in preparation for a successful future exit. Our proven methodology combines expert one-on-one consulting, business valuations, and online programs to deliver transformative results—clients typically see significant increases in profit and business value within the first year. As a new franchise office, we're building a high-impact team in a dynamic startup environment. We operate with the support of a national brand while fostering entrepreneurial drive, innovation, and collaboration. We're seeking a driven Business Development Manager to focus exclusively on generating new client relationships in our early growth phase. You'll prospect, qualify, and close leads for our Business Value Assessments and consulting programs, introducing business owners to strategies that unlock their company's full potential. This is a pure hunter role—no delivery responsibilities initially—allowing you to concentrate on what you do best: building pipelines and winning new business. As our office scales, high performers will have clear opportunities to progress along a defined career path toward consulting delivery, team leadership, and ultimately, an offer of partnership into the business.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development (5+ years preferred), ideally in consulting, professional services, coaching, or financial advisory.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and close high-value deals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with confidence leading virtual and in-person meetings.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable navigating ambiguity in a startup franchise environment while contributing ideas to improve processes and client outcomes.
  • High integrity, team-oriented spirit, and a commitment to doing the right thing—always.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and engage business owners through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking events, and referral partnerships.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to uncover needs and position Exit Factor's proprietary assessments and programs.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline to consistently hit and exceed revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the franchise owner on lead strategies, while enjoying autonomy in your day-to-day execution.
  • Leverage provided tools, in-house leads, and national referral networks to accelerate results.
