The Opportunity They are looking for a Business Development Manager to establish and grow their presence in the Seattle market, with a clear path to transition into a Branch Manager role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing key relationships, and laying the foundation for a future branch location.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a track record of consistent quota attainment
  • Hunter mentality—self-directed and capable of building a territory from the ground up
  • Experience managing complex, multi-touch sales cycles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Professional presence with strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Build and grow a book of business in the Seattle market through disciplined prospecting, pipeline management, and closing activity
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry relationships—without relying solely on company-provided leads
  • Develop relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, commercial clients, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and public sector entities
  • Present and sell electronic access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm systems, fire/life safety systems, and other integrated technology solutions
  • Partner with internal teams to develop and deliver customized proposals
  • Maintain a strong close rate on both self-generated and company-provided opportunities
  • Establish the company's presence in the Seattle market and act as the local point of contact
  • Identify growth opportunities and build a pipeline that supports long-term expansion
  • Contribute to future hiring and team development as the Seattle branch grows
  • Transition into a Branch Manager role as the market and team are established
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity, pipeline stages, and forecasted revenue
  • Provide insight into market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities
  • Demonstrate disciplined pipeline management and forecasting
