We are looking for a driven, strategic, and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Sales Regional Vice President, this role is focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding market share, and maximizing revenue potential within an assigned territory. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, or marketing preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of account management or sales experience
  • Strong understanding of relationship-based selling and account development
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Comfortable working toward Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a vehicle
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in one-on-one and group presentations
  • Active listening skills to understand and respond to customer needs
  • Self-starter with initiative and a strong internal drive to succeed
  • High energy, resilience, and persistence in pursuing sales goals
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Tenacious and disciplined in executing sales plans

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively pursue and secure new business within your assigned territory
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, activity targets, and performance expectations consistently
  • Identify, qualify, and convert prospective clients through proactive outreach and relationship-building
  • Generate a strong pipeline of leads and referrals through personal prospecting efforts
  • Utilize CRM tools to effectively manage prospects, track interactions, and monitor sales performance
  • Apply best practices to position Gateway services as the preferred solution
  • Develop and execute quarterly sales and marketing strategies in partnership with your manager
  • Manage your territory efficiently, maximizing time spent with high-potential prospects
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect data within your territory
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine sales strategies
  • Ensure all sales efforts align with profitability expectations and ethical standards
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and new customers
  • Understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and “helpful expert” to clients
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and service needs
  • Represent Gateway with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus
  • Prepare accurate and timely sales activity and performance reports
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Maintain expertise in Gateway services and competitive offerings
  • Manage expenses responsibly and maintain accurate reporting
