Expected salary range of $96,300 to $107,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k). LOCATION This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States and be willing to work a corporate, day-shift schedule on Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time. Up to 15% travel is required, to attend in-office meetings as required Primary Purpose of Position This sales professional will be responsible for prospecting, developing relationships with customers and acquiring new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-years relevant experience, in lieu of degree 9 years of relevant experience
  • 5-years business experience, preferably in sales
  • A wide network of contacts within the business community, federal government, elected officials, and public interest groups
  • Organization and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in energy, energy efficiency, or electricity markets
  • Business-to-business energy sales experience in electric and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products
  • Demonstrated history of success in originating, negotiating and closing complex sales transactions
  • Experience presenting and closing high-level Fortune 500 customers transactions
  • Experience selling Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, ideally within the energy sector
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM system

Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and cultivate client relationships.
  • Cultivate customer relationships with respective Fortune 500 companies.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and key decision makers.
  • Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs
  • In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements
  • Develop energy plans and strategies for Fortune 500 companies, prepare presentations and close sales transactions.
