As Business Development Manager for Oil & Gas and Emerging Applications, you will play a key role in identifying and developing new market opportunities for our products and solutions. From early market exploration to commercial maturity, you drive the growth of new applications and business segments.   Outokumpu is accelerating the green transition as the global leader in sustainable stainless steel. Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or comparable qualification), ideally combining technical and commercial background
  • First experience in business development, sales or commercial roles, preferably in a specialty or industrial environment
  • Ability to identify and develop new application opportunities and translate them into business potential
  • Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills
  • Technical understanding of materials, applications and performance benefits (experience with stainless steel or industrial materials is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of independence, resilience and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Self-driven working style with the ability to operate in cross-functional and international environments

Nice To Haves

  • experience with stainless steel or industrial materials is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing and expanding Oil & Gas and emerging applications from first ideas to commercial success
  • Identifying customer needs and value chain opportunities and translating them into viable business cases
  • Coordinating the development of new products or product extensions together with internal stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and value chain partners
  • Creating awareness and demand for our products in new or developing market segments
  • Supporting technical discussions, sampling activities and application development with customers
  • Ensuring the necessary specifications, certifications and regulatory understanding for new applications
  • Contributing to the new business pipeline and driving opportunity development and conversion
