About The Position

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded, and highly motivated trading business development professional with a bias for action. This person will be a key partner to local trading teams and a primary interface with external trading counterparties, including brokers, clearing firms, liquidity venues, and market-infrastructure providers. At IMC, this role functions as a trusted commercial and operational partner to the trading business. It is responsible for connecting trading objectives to external market access, counterparty relationships, and commercial arrangements that enable efficient, scalable, and resilient trading operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 - 8+ years of experience in trading business development, brokerage management, clearing relationships, or similar roles tied to trading infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of brokerage flows, clearing processes, and trading-venue connectivity preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with trading, technology, and operations teams
  • Strong commercial instincts with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills across senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate commercial, operational, and technical trade-offs
  • Comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced trading environment
  • Ability to handle ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive execution
  • Strong judgment, pragmatism, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary relationship owner for key trading counterparties, including brokers, clearing providers, and liquidity venues
  • Build durable, high-trust external relationships that support current and future trading needs
  • Partner closely with trading teams to enable access to new markets, products, and asset classes
  • Rapidly learn and assess new asset classes, trading workflows, and counterparty requirements
  • Lead commercial negotiations covering brokerage, clearing, connectivity, incentives, and service expectations
  • Maintain ongoing dialogue with counterparties regarding pricing, service quality, and operational performance
  • Coordinate across Trading, Technology, Operations, and Compliance to onboard new counterparties
  • Manage end-to-end onboarding execution, from documentation and connectivity through go-live
  • Monitor post-launch performance to ensure relationships deliver intended commercial and operational value
  • Track market-structure developments, counterparty trends, and operational innovations impacting trading
  • Identify opportunities where improved brokerage or clearing setups can unlock trading efficiencies or new strategies
  • Collaborate with global IMC teams when counterparties operate across multiple regions
  • Exercise sound judgment when balancing commercial opportunity, operational complexity, and risk
  • Take personal ownership for delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-moving trading environment
  • Iterate on prior setups and relationships to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness
