About The Position

Greenlight Networks is a leading provider of high-speed fiber internet serving residential and small business customers, with a strong focus on multi-tenant and multi-dwelling communities. As we continue to grow and expand into new markets, including Pennsylvania and Maryland, we are adding a Business Development Manager to our sales team. This role is ideal for a motivated, results-driven relationship builder who thrives on the road, is willing to travel approximately 25% of the time, and is excited to help scale our presence within MTE/MDU environment (multi-tenant / multi-dwelling). The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing Baltimore customer base (new market development) promoting and selling our broadband services to developers, owners and/or property managers of multi-dwelling units (MDUs) such as apartment complexes, condominiums, townhomes and housing associations. This role involves generating opportunities, particularly bulk and greenfield opportunities by cultivating relationships with community leaders, developers, property managers and residents, and achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Lead Generation: Identify and generate new MTE/MDU sales opportunities within assigned new Markets. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, chambers of commerce, builders, property managers, homeowners associations (HOAs), and residents. Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our services to potential customers. Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and agreements with property managers and HOAs. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the MDU market. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Community Engagement: Working cooperatively with Marketing, act as a Greenlight Ambassador at in-market/on-premise events that drive the Greenlight brand, encourage partnerships and transact. This role requires the use of your personal vehicle to drive between markets and attend client meetings and sales calls. A valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle are required.

Requirements

  • Track record of success in a quota driven sales environment, preferably in commercial construction and/or a in related tech sectors
  • Understanding of internal pre-sales process including knowledge of operational processes in order to deliver service
  • Understanding of fiber internet service with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical customer base.
  • Track record of success developing new sales opportunities into long term partnerships
  • Proven track record of managing the entire sales cycle from pre to post sales.
  • Ability to drive funnel management activity
  • Ability to lead by influence and work collaboratively across work groups to drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues and manage through resolution to the benefit of the customer and the business.
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects with competing priorities with minimal direction.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal business functions and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel within Greenlight Networks footprint on a consistent basis.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of field sales experience, preference given to those with successful sales experience in the commercial real estate, construction, broadband, cable, or telecom industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle are required.
